Short Bio
Daniela Kolland studied law at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and at the University of Vienna. As part of the FAU delegation, she participated in the university Model UN project in New York City during her studies. Starting in 2023, she worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Public Law, International Law, and Human Rights under Prof. Dr. Dr. Patricia Wiater. Since March 2025, she has been a research assistant and coordinator at the CHREN Human Rights Clinic. Daniela Kolland is a member of djb and “Junges Forum Rechtsphilosophie”. In autumn 2026, she will be conducting research at the ISJPS at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Her research interests include human rights, constitutional law, legal philosophy, and the law in relation to art, culture, the media and other humanities. In her doctoral thesis, she interprets the right to resistance under Article 20(4) of the German Basic Law from a cultural studies and comparative law perspective, thereby establishing a link between the promotion of culture and the promotion of democracy.
